We have to remember that great part of Ville Venete is born as country venues where the Venetian patricians went in order to control their productions. So the agrarian and wine companies in Ville Venete have a tradition handed on in the centuries, tied to high quality products in an ideal atmosphere for the aging of wines, today integrated with the new technologies. Some villas have quite resumed productions of the going back to the IX^th century Benedictine wine cellars. Many are the initiatives that still today remember such traditions: from the medieval grape harvest to the tamping of the grape by feet, from the festivities of fine grape harvest to the markets in pure medieval style.

Conte di Collalto’s country farm

Collalto’s counts were installed in the Trevigiano territory in XII^th century and since then they produce wines of optimal quality. Currently there are still more then 135 cultivated hectares and more then 400 hectares of forest, with free fauna that difficultly we can be found in other Venetian localities. The diamond of the Collalto’s estates is the splendid San Salvatore Castle.

Bagnoli’s domination

The “Bagnoli dominion” has had in thousand years only three owners, through which it has maintained good part of its original surface that, today covers more than six hundred hectares of land: this permits to offer high-quality products, integrating the new technologies to the tradition handed on in the centuries.

Wine tasting in an ancient country house

Arrival in a beautiful country house of the XVII^th century where an unforgettable day will begin. It is possible to visit the vineyards during the normal everyday activities that are carried out during the whole year except in August. 

The tastings are done in the parties hall or the beautiful season in the open air. The visitors can sit, or for faster tastings together with the visit in wine cellar, can stand around the tables.

A wine steward of the country house, will guide the wine tasting, explaining the different works of the country and of wine cellar. The tastings are done with some simple dishes like “white pizza”, “bruschetta”, cheese or local dressed pork product.
