Villa Italia is a beautiful 19th-century residence built in neoclassical style, situated just outside the city of Padua in a strategic location very close to the Brenta Riviera, to the new financial, commercial and industrial area of Eastern Padua and to the important Fair and Exhibition Centre, within easy distance from the main road network. The very elegant main building is provided with two remarkable main halls on first floor and ground floor, and wide elegant rooms now turned into suites. The villa compound is then completed by a porticoed horse barn with statues on the top.
But it is the wonderful Italian garden rich in century-old plant species which gives this historical home timeless peacefulness and preserves its original beauty and prestige, thanks to eight statues of white Nanto stone standing along the alley as well as to the wide circular fountain, the small private church and the underground ice room dating back to the first half of the 19th-century in the park. The current splendour of this residence is also due to some renovations commissioned over the last century by its last owners. In 1919 the villa was bought by Mr Arrigo Olivieri which enlarged the park and restored the interiors, whereas in 1959 the big stone swimming-pool and its two annexes were built. A preservative renovation was completed in 1990 by the Panigai Counts, ancient noble family from Friuli Venezia Giulia and current owners of the villa. Finally, with the last restorations in 2008, Villa Italia becomes a charming house with six elegant suites, restaurant, lounge bar, multi-functional rooms for special events and a cobbled park for 500 cars. It is also a complete sport center with wide swimming-pool and outdoor recreational areas, as well as a wide century-old park and a golf course. An architecturally valuable green oasis where the Belle Epoque evocative atmospheres mix with the most exclusive and modern comfort.
