In 1884 Count Giulio Rocca, a Venetian nobleman, had a beautiful landowner's villa built along the river Brenta on the remains of an even older construction from the eighteenth century, to which the lovely park with statues and hedges and the small chapel belonged and which still form part of the property. The same villa is today one of the most renowned hotels in the Venetian region. Villa Ducale is located on the famous Riviera del Brenta, "delightful, charming place, rich in noble houses and history", where the ship canal "metes out time flowing slowly between its banks"; Venice and Padua are just 15 minutes away with their museums and shops.
