Medieval fortress (probably of Roman origin) the Castello di Serravalle was rebuilt by Da Camino princes in the XIII century and was residence of the Potestà of Venice until the eighteenth century. It is located in the centre of the borough of Serravalle (today a part of the town of Vittorio Veneto) which is an urbanistic jewel of Veneto with its Renaissance square and palaces. From the beginning of the century a private property, the Castello is today available as a privileged meeting place.
Through the massive main door you can come to a large garden shadowed by old trees and enclosed by embattled walls, a magical place far away from the rest of the world. In the garden a separate part of the Castello has been structured for business meetings, private dinners and receptions (with catering service). Courses of traditional and creative cooking are also available as well as weekends of haute cuisine. The rock walls of the cellar are the perfect setting for the enotheca “Verde da Camino” where to taste the best wines of the Veneto. The Torre offers hospitality in three beautiful bedrooms with Bed & Breakfast sevice plus it contains two apartments furnished with old family pieces offering every comfort in addition to panorama and quiet. The whole thing with the character and the welcome of a private residence. Outside the walls Vittorio Veneto and Serravalle offer old “osterie” and trattorie to taste local food, on Monday the traditional market, on the first Sunday of each month the flea market, in August the festa di S. Augusta with its concerts on the main square and the famous fireworks. To reach the Castello di Serravalle take the A27 highway Venezia-Belluno and go out at Vittorio Veneto Nord. It is 2 km away towards Vittorio Veneto in the historical center of Serravalle.
