Villa Brandolini

Surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Prosecco hills, Villa Brandolini is a prestigious and well-preserved 17th-century villa located in the heart of Solighetto, half way between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. The building was acquired by the Town Council in 1977 and now it is used for important cultural and art exhibitions, as well as for elegant business meetings and events. Its history is closely related to the Family Brandolini, which was entitled the County of Valmareno and the Fief Solighetto in 1436. The current building dates back to the 18th-century, when Count Antonmaria Brandolini started to restore the more ancient Brandolini Castle in Valmareno and moved to the countryside.

Outwardly, the villa is an elegant but sober Venetian building characterised by a big loggia with 3 arches. In front of it, the wide Italian style garden with oval fountain is connected to the Count’s “brolo” – the old vineyard – by a stone bridge. Besides, the private chapel dedicated to St. Gaetano and St. Teresa and the porticoed barchessa are now very suggestive locations for events and ceremonies.

Also the bright greenhouses with wide south-facing windows and the ancient typical “cotto” floors are an ideal setting for exclusive exhibitions and receptions. In the backyard, a tinier garden and a cobbled paving flanked by century-old trees lead to the top of the hill, from which a breathtaking view over the surrounding hills and the plain is well worth enjoying.
