VILLA CA' VENDRI
Wedding & Meeting
Ca’ Vendri in Valpantena of Verona is exemplar of those Venetian villas dating back to the early Reinassance. The Counts Giusti commissioned its construction to the architect Michele Sanmicheli’s followers assisted by the painter Paolo Farinati, the author of the fresco over the loggia of the façade. Crossing a nine-arch portico one reaches the classic court-yard. The structure of the villa is like the one of the Reinassance patrician houses in Veneto: the noble floor has four halls on both sides of the central huge hall. The park of English style, considered as a national monument, is adorned with 18th century statues, a nympheo with Doric columns, a family chapel, a lobed stone pond, and an alley with secular cypresses at the northern entrance of the villa. With the owners’ permission Ca’ Vendri can be used for business meetings, cultural events, for family meetings and as a place where to spend summer holidays. It is 6 km far from Verona and has wide parking areas inside the park. In addition to the larger hall (mq.185), other three halls, a large attic and the portico (mq.180) can be used for meeting purposes. In its bedrooms, which have antique furnishings, guests can enjoy a very suggestive atmosphere spending their holidays only some minutes far from Verona.
